Surgery technique
Abdominoplasty is usually performed under general anesthesia and takes two to three hours. The surgeon makes a long incision just above the pubic area. Next, the surgeon separates the skin from the abdominal wall and lifts a large skin flap to reveal the vertical muscles in the abdomen. These muscles are tightened by pulling them close together and stitching them into their new position. The skin flap is then stretched down and the extra skin is removed. Finally, the incisions are stitched, dressings are applied, and a temporary tube is inserted to drain excess fluid from the surgical site.
Duration of stay in clinic: 24 hours.

The pain shouldn’t be severe. After surgery, you'll wear an elastic soft support garment around the clock for 3-4 weeks. Surface stitches will be removed in 4-5 days. The scars become less obvious, sometimes eventually fading to thin white lines only a year after the surgery.
Rehabilitation: After surgery you can have a mesotherapy cure.
