Male breast reduction is a surgical procedure to reduce enlarged, female-like breast in men using liposuction and/or cutting out excess glandular tissue.
Surgery technique This procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia and takes one hour or more. The surgeon removes the excess skin, tissue and fat to restore male-like breast in men.
After your surgery
First few days the pain shouldn’t be severe. Within a few days, the bandages or surgical bra will be remove. The stitches will be removed after a week or two. Most of patients return to work in a week.
Duration of stay in clinic: 24 hours.
Rehabilitation: The procedure can cause a temporary loss of feeling in your nipples or breasts. The scars become less obvious, sometimes eventually fading to thin white lines only a year after the surgery especially in nonsmokers.
