Over the years, factors such as pregnancy, nursing, and the force of gravity take their toll on a woman's breasts. As the skin loses its elasticity, the breasts often lose their shape and firmness and begin to sag. Breast lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts.

Surgery technique
Mastopexy is usually performed under general anesthesia and takes one to three hours. The surgeon removes the excess skin without reducing breast volume. When the excess skin has been removed, the nipple and areola are moved to the higher position. Sometimes mastopexy is accompanied by breast augmentation to enhance the size and reshape patient’s breasts.
After your surgery
The pain shouldn’t be severe. After surgery, you'll wear an elastic soft support bra around the clock for 3-4 weeks. The mastopexy scars become less obvious, sometimes eventually fading to thin white lines only a year after the surgery.
Duration of stay in clinic: 24 hours.
Rehabilitation:
Your breasts will recreate its final shape in 6-12 months after the surgery. Afterward the effects of gravity, pregnancy, aging, and weight fluctuations may cause new sagging. Results may last longer or be enhanced when breast implants are inserted as part of the procedure. There is no evidence that this surgery causes breast cancer.
Concentric mastopexy
It’s the most sparing surgery. Circular incisions are made around the areola, and a doughnut-shaped area of skin is removed. This procedure helps to raise and reshape the breasts without extensive incisions.
